Mr. Purple coming over the side of the box. |
Post-Milk Sleepies... |
The sire is our very own Teller-Woo and the dam is Kathy Wager's bitch Carlie. I liked Carlie when I met her at an agility trial back in January and I adored living with her for a week in February. She's very feminine - lighter boned than Woo. Beautiful topline and headpiece, a strong front, nicely angled. She's drivey, outgoing, biddable and confident. The litter theme is "Story" - I've got a registered name all picked out, but I'm still struggling with a call-name, there are a few on the shortlist, but it must be something unique, something special and of course the yardstick for all names is of course "what can I yell out while running an agility course?" Somehow "Hemmingway - Weave" just doesn't roll off the tongue!
Mr Green and Miss No Color try to nap while Mr Purple takes No Color by the tail. |
At four weeks all of the puppies have their parent's heads - the boys strongly resemble a four-week old Teller. Chunky little monkeys - they started solid food yesterday. Mr Purple was already climbing out of the whelping box while I was there on Sunday- very much making his opinions known. Mr Green was a cuddler while I was there, I'm told he's a bit more laid back than the rambunctious Mr. Purple.
A bit of a pupdate: I was told that Mr. Purple successfully plotted his escape Monday morning and at dawn was found on the 'other' side of the puppy pen. I love a bold naughty puppy!
Updates to follow somewhat regularly now...
