And the pantry has been replenished :-) |
When we're on the road they're still eating exclusively Honest Kitchen Embark...It's palatable, easily digested, easy to rehydrate and the dog's consistently eat it well - though not usually a problem for goldens....Anyhow - we were out of everything - empty doggie pantry. Our friend Katie had placed an order with her distributor and we got in on the order, but it took us a few weeks to get a pickup....
As I posted on our facebook page:
We used the last of our Sojos with breakfast Thursday morning with our green tripe, the last of our Keen last night with dinner (Keen plus Misty Knolls Turkey backs) and the last of our Embark with our breakfast this morning...the cabinet was getting pretty lean. We're VERY happy to report that our pantry has been re-stocked and you guys can cancel that call to the ASPCA.
Oh and about thawing raw dog food (turkey) on the counter...if the question is "How much raw dog food can one 7lb kitty consume in approximately three hours?" The answer is about 3/4 lb.
Happy (STARVING) cat purging off the dog's dinner....Yummy Misty Knoll Farm ground turkey....BAD KITTY. Kitty who eats crappy Science Diet prescription food because he gets bladder stones and refuses to eat anything else...Kitty who has been offered his own raw food (and The Honest Kitchen's Prowl) and turned his nose up at those too? Yes. That Kitty helping himself to doggy dinner while I was out teaching Thursday evening. He DID leave the unmentionable turkey "chunks" that I prefer remain hidden in the middle of the grind though - so that's something....{{SIGH}}
