Sunday Sequencing - September 26th, 2010

Hoping for nice weather tomorrow for our Sunday Sequencing session.. Here are the plans for the afternoon - if we have time (and dog power) left we might try for something inside as well....

Sequence #1 is all about discrimination! Tunnel/Tunnel and Tunnel/A-Frame!

Sequence #2 is a more traditional modified standard course.

A bit about me - I'm Erica and I've blogged on and off since 2006 - mostly on the topic of dogs, dog training and dog shows - but also on whatever subject comes to mind as a blog-worthy topic of conversation.

In real life, I'm a Senior Systems Engineer for a small technology consulting company in Vermont. Professionally I've completed MCSA, MCSE (NT 4-2003), MCITP, CCSE and CCNA certifications.

In my spare time I teach rally, obedience, agility and CGC (AKC Canine Good Citizen) classes - my methods are primarily positive reinforcement with a focus on shaping behaviors. I love helping owners reach their goals - whatever those goals may be. At the end of the trial or the end of the day we need to spend our time with dogs that we can live with.

I compete in conformation, obedience, agility and rally with my three golden retrievers: 'Murphy' CDX OAJ NA NJP RA CGC CGN TDV (now retired), MACH2 Canadian Champion 'Teller' CD RN NAP NJP NF CCA CGN CGC and the newest addition to the crew is super dog in training 'Kipling' CGC (Teller's son)...

Time permitting Murphy enjoys his work as a therapy dog with Therapy dogs of Vermont and Teller enjoys tracking and bird (retrieving) work.

As with most things that are worth having and doing - nothing quite ever goes as planned - and therein lies the fun and thus the blog...
